Abe Loomis and Jim Henry are both long time Pioneer Valley residents and pillars of the Valley’s roots music scene. Abe has two releases already available, Bright Lines and The Early Treasuries. Jim Henry has numerous releases under his own name but admits that he’s too busy working a sideman musician that he hasn’t recorded new material recently. Both musicians will be appearing at the Parlor Room in Northampton, Ma on 6/23/17.

Abe is releasing his latest disc entitled The Hoosac Line at this show. He was gracious to give us a live preview of the new material on last week’s Nine Volt Heart. The tunes we covered were Johnny Bean Brook, Crow Crow, Franklin County and Eddie’s Cigarette. I also played three cuts from The Early Treasuries, Davey , Let It Ride and A Beautiful Lie.
