Max Wareham brings the “Good News”

Max Wareham from the Village of Cushman in North Amherst, Massachusetts is looking to spread the “good news” and needs our help. This talented local musician is looking for KickStarter support to help release a new batch of tunes he’s written. There is a full release and an EP called “Good News” and “Rosie” respectively. Max has been involved in many a project since we’ve met a few years back. He’s fronted a bluegrass band called The Morning Bugle (pictured above playing with Peter Rowan), he’s also been a member of Cousin Moon (formerly Pale Cowboy). He also plays bass in Northampton based rock band, The Sun Parade. But Max has been busy crafting new tunes in a different style than all those previously mentioned projects. He has recorded a batch of tunes dedicated to his heroes of the british folk song. The echoes of Vashti Bunyan, Nick Drake, Ann Briggs and Lal Masterson reverberated through his mostly original compositions. I’ve recorded our conversation along with five tunes from the new releases. Max sings “Water of the Bay”, “So Long My Lil Ole Blue Eyed Babe”,”Rosie”,” Peggy-O” and “Never The Same”. I also added a tune or two from Fairport Convention, Lindsay Straw and Joan Baez to complete the set.

I hope you’ll consider donating to this worthy cause. Kickstarter.com/Max Wareham will get you started. All levels of donations have rewards and incentives. Help support our local musician’s creative dreams when you can.
