It’s time for the Happy Valley Bluegrass Church where the audience becomes the choir singing along with talented local players. A few of those players joined me on Nine Volt Heart to preview the series which begins on 11/8. Each of the events happen at The Iron Horse in Northampton; all on a Sunday; all at 11AM! The series continues on Dec 13, Jan 10, and Feb 7.

Our preview began with the trio playing “Home On the Range” an example of a well known song that could be part of the “services’. The lyrics are projected on a large screen so that everyone can join in. The next selection is Tracy Grammer’s gorgeous version of Dave Carter’s “Gentle Arms of Eden”. Paul gets into the mix with the spiritual “I’m Not Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Round”. We also hear a prerecorded song by Tracy Grammer, “January Hymn” and Jim Henry’s ode to the Happy Valley called “Home To Me”.
